Blue Door is locked into The Everest by Newgate and GPI
Newgate Farm and GPI Racing have secured Blue Door for the $20 million Everest at Royal Randwick on 17 October, after the Stay Inside filly won the Group 3 ATC Heritage Stakes over 1100 metres at Rosehill on Saturday. She is owned by John Singleton and trained by Bjorn Baker, who put her forward as an Everest contender immediately after the win, and she has two wins and two seconds from four starts (Breednet).
The pair won the race in 2023 with Think About It. Blue Door joins Ka Ying Rising, in the Hong Kong Jockey Club slot, Ninja for Fairway Thoroughbreds and Headwall for Max Whitby, Col Madden, Steve McCann and Neil Werret among the runners confirmed so far. Newgate put the announcement plainly: “BLUE DOOR locked in” (Breednet).

A 1.4 million euro Justify filly tops the first day of the Goffs Orby
Day one of the Goffs Orby Book 1 Yearling Sale was topped at 1.4 million euros by lot 154, a Justify filly out of Multilingual and a half-sister to the 2025 champion three-year-old filly Minnie Hauk. Camas Park Stud consigned her for the breeder Ben Sangster and MV Magnier bought her. Minnie Hauk topped the same sale in 2023 at 1.85 million euros, won three Group 1 Oaks and was second in last year’s Arc de Triomphe.
